Location At the edge of Swinton village, 2 Miles from the Market town of Malton.

    By Road:
    Malton is clearly marked on road sign
    Swinton is on the B1257 towards Hovingham (see maps).
      By Rail:
      From York to Malton station.
      There is a taxi rank outside the station.
      We can collect clients from Malton by arrangement (free service).
        Local Transport:
        Buses run approximately every hour to Malton (locals walk!).
        From Malton other areas can be accessed with ease.

        The disabled facilities below are available and can be requested upon booking.
                Grab Rails (4) - can be placed wherever convenient for your use.
                Shower chair - with variable height and removable back support.
                Shower Step - reduces the height of the step into the shower.
                Raised Toilet Seat - removable for other guests.
                Hands Free can opener - always in the cottage.
                Carver Dining Chairs (2) - always in the cottage.
                TV Subtitles - when available, always in the cottage.
                Fire Extinguisher & Blanket - always in the cottage.
                Easy Grip handles to doors & cupboards - always in the cottage.
                Handrail to Decking area.
                Wheelchair access can be accommodated with an able carer assisting.
               
        The accommodation is all on one level - plan available upon request.
        There is no bath, just a large walk-in shower.
        Please ensure we are notified in advance of your needs/requirements and we will
                do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
                We will also let you know if we cannot accommodate your needs.
      Child Facilities Cot & bedding, Highchair, Baby Bath, Change mat, Potty, Toddler toilet step.
        Babysitting by arrangement.

      Up To 2 Well Behaved Dogs, please specify size for bedding (no cats).
        Dogs must not foul in the gardens and are not permitted in the bedrooms.
        Easy access to village dog walk.
        Facilities: Dog Beds, food & water bowls, dog towels are provided as well 
                       as an external tap for muddy paws.

      Swinton - Excellent village Butcher with a small selection of groceries
        Malton (2 miles) - Good range of shops including 3 supermarket
                     (Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda), clothes, shoes and other produce.
                     Yates is a "must see" for any visitor (haircut/bike/axe/freezer/plants!)
                     Local Tourist Office, on the market square.
                     Livestock Market days: Tuesday & Friday
                     Farmers Market every other Saturday

        We offer a FREE Asda shopping service, just send a list to arrive the
        Wednesday before you.
      Non-Smoking No smoking within the property but there is a porch with a pot to dispose of butts.
      Short Breaks Advance bookings are for periods of a week or multiple weeks.
        Short breaks are only accepted two weeks prior to a booking where capacity allows.

      In July 2010 we installed a phone guests can use for local calls.
        During the same installation we added a wireless router providing guests secure access
        to the Internet.
